Vintage Decor Farmhouse Christmas Shelves

Happy Tuesday Friends!

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet? I have! At least I think I have. Or is that just wishful thinking? 😂

Do you like to decorate your house for Christmas? Do you leave some of the decor and decorate around it, or like me, do you take everything out and add only festive decor?

In this post I'm showing you how I've decorated my living room shelves for Christmas.

I'm trying not to use too much symmetry as I tend to do this a lot, but in this case it just came together that way.

My theme this year was to add in vintage items to look like something else. On this shelf I've utilised a number of vintage items to create a reindeer scene.

As with my last vignette, I've included a cute little bottle brush tree in a rusty vintage grater to replicate a sleigh.

A vintage tart tin makes a great tree holder.

And this rusty vintage scone cutter works well as a tree trunk.  The little vintage funnels also work well small houses or buildings.

Throw in a few paper mache reindeer with a DIY Merry Christmas Sign and you have a wonderful little Christmas display.

And to frame it out I've used some small vintage glass bottles and two snow light up trees, sitting in vintage pie tin bases.

And on the top shelf is a sweet wooden angel on my DIY plaster risers covered in a glass cloche. And some more small pine trees in burlap baskets.

Together with wooden pillar candle holders, and vintage music sheet wrapped candles. And the mini pine trees are new this year from Ikea.

Join me tomorrow for my full Home Christmas Tour!

Enjoy your day!

  1. Your shelves look great! I love all the vintage touches, especially the cloche! Happy Holidays, Donna

    1. Thanks Donna! I love the cloche too. And I can use it all year round. :)
