DIY Christmas Tree Makeover

 

 Hi everyone and happy New Years Eve!

I wanted to share this little project with you that I made yesterday. I had started putting all my Christmas away and in the process had to pull out this little tree I got off Marketplace about a year ago.

 

 It's a cute little tree, approx 120cms high, with cute little lights throughout. I had planned to maybe use it as an Easter tree, but it didn't feel quite right and I wasn't loving the little leaves very much.

 

Then I had an idea. I was also just about to throw out some tree branches from another project, when I thought they would look great on this tree.  So I pulled off all the leaves on this tree,

 

and after unwinding the wire lights a bit on each branch,

 

then inserting the Christmas tree tips, I attached them by rewinding the wire over them to hold them in place.

 

And now I have this cute little Christmas tree which will match perfectly with my other trees next year!

 

 

I'm so happy with how this turned out and that I could use materials I already had.

So, if you see a cheap little tree out there that might be suitable for this idea, grab it!
