Thrifty Finds

Happy Weekend Friends!

I haven't been in an op shop in such a long time. I have instead been enjoying all my favourite blogger Insta stories where they take you thrifting with them! I love them! They are so funny and I feel like I'm there with them saying exactly the same things. "Over priced." "Oooh, that's cute." "I had to wait for her to move." "Nothing good today." "I spent way too much." "But look at what I got!" 😂

Last week I thought I'd drop in to one store, which lead to a few more stores and a few more purchases. Whoops! 😜 Anyway, I was looking for some cute plates and I found some! Which got me to doing some research on vintage plates and bone china and how to read the makers' labels. I'm no expert, and I did grab a few pieces that I just liked the look of initially. But in future, I might look for some of the more authentic vintage bone china.

I know a lot of my blogger friends often mention white Ironstone, but that isn't something you can generally find in Australia. We do however have milk glass and I like the look of that too.

Today I'm going to be sharing a few of my thrifty finds.

1. Small Wedgewood Bone China vase.

This adorable tiny vintage vase has the sweetest yellow flowers printed on it. I've already found a spot for it on our mantel. 😊

2. Small Royal Osborne Bone China bowel.

How cute is this bowel with the little buttercup flowers! This one is going straight in our glass display cabinet.

3. White Milk Glass Dishes

These pretty little milk glass dishes have super cute wheat motifs on them. I might even use them for tea lights!

4. Wedgwood Bone China Grape Vine Side Plate

I saw some of these plates online so I was super excited when I found one in the op shop. I'll be keeping an eye out for some more!

5. "Orange Grove" English Ironstone side plate.

I had to bring this plate home with me. It just looks so happy.

I did get a few other plate sets which I'll be sharing in the future as themed table settings.

But until then, hoping you all had a fabulous weekend!
