DIY Farmhouse Shelf in the Main Bedroom

Before I post our "master bedroom in grey" reveal, I thought I'd share a little project which forms part of our bedroom makeover.

I made this rustic farmhouse style shelf from 2 planks of scrap timber. 

 

 

All I did was screw 3 metal brackets to the underside of the shelf to hold the timber in place. Then dry brushed the entire shelf with white paint. 

 

 

To hang the shelf I added two picture hooks to the back.

 

 

For "hubby's side", I added some more masculine pieces. 

 

 

And some more feminine pieces on my side.
