Happy New Year 2021
Wow, it's so hard to reflect on the year that has been. A year like no other in my life time.
It was awful. We lost loved ones and mentally and emotionally it was draining. 😢
From
lock downs, to home schooling, to mask wearing (and making), to
scrambling for toilet paper (will Australia ever live that down?😬).
However,
on the flip side, there was a lot to be grateful for and when hard
times hit it always reminds you of the things you often take for granted
- family, friends, health, a job, a house over your head and food on
the table.
I'm super lucky to live in Australia as I know people in other countries are doing it a lot tougher with Covid.
We
aren't out of the woods yet and who knows what 2021 will bring. We can
only hope for a vaccine and to regain some of our freedom back again.
Like
being able to shop when and where we like (girl gotta shop), visiting
friends and loved ones and hugging them without caution.
I'm
so proud of our country's leaders who face up to media conferences
daily and field all the hard questions while trying to keep us all safe,
and physically and mentally healthy.
I'm
so grateful to the blogging/DIY community for being the outlet I needed
to get through this year and some tough times. I try not to make my
blog too personal, not cause I don't care about what is happening in the
world, but because I know so many people are hurting and I want my
little space to be one where we can take some time out for a short time
from the daily stresses and tap into our inner creativity. 😊
Know that I'm thinking of everyone, no matter where you live, and hoping next year gets better for us all.
Let's pray for a happier 2021. 😘
