Cutlery Graphic Dining Table & Spindle Back Chairs
This is the first time I experimented with paper graphics on a table and I'm really pleased with the results.
This dining setting consisting of 6 spindle back chairs and table was a huge job, but one I am extremely proud of.
Here is the table when I purchased it.
Such a pretty table and who could resist those gorgeous spindle back chairs!
And after ...
Firstly I sanded the varnish off the entire table and all the chairs. Then I applied a coat of White Knight Stain Stopper undercoat to prevent any tannin leaking through. Finally I applied two coats of flat white.
I found the amazing vintage cutlery graphic on The Graphics Fairy, and was able to enlarge it dramatically using Block Posters.

After printing the graphic out spanning over 9 A4 pages, I cut it out and matched up all the pieces on the table. Then I used Mod Podge to secure it to the table.

I then sealed the top of the graphic with another coat of Mod Podge.
Finally I applied 3 coats of clear furniture wax to the top of the table.
The chairs were lightly sanded around the edges and sealed with 2 coats of clear furniture wax also.

I love the way it all turned out! I'm adding this one to my favourites list! :)
