Ecology Speckle Oatmeal Dinner Set Review

Hello lovlies!

How has everyone's week been so far?

Today I'm excited to be sharing a review of my new dinner set from Ecology!

Brace yourself, cause it was love at first sight for me. 😊

I'd been looking for a while and nothing jumped off the shelf anywhere, until I saw this one. 🙌

I'll be honest, my previous dinnerware consisted of a mishmash of white plates from The Reject Shop and grey plates from Kmart. 😬

No more girlfriends! I had a little splurge and purchased 2 boxes of these gorgeous dinner sets made by Ecology.  They are called Speckle and the shade is called Oatmeal.   Each box contains 12 pieces (3 x dinner plates, 3 x side plates and 3 x bowls).

The box makes the plates look a bit of a pink colour, but they are actually a beautiful beige colour.  They are slightly irregularly shaped, and have a rustic dimpled texture.

So, what are my thoughts? I love, love, love this dinner set! 😍

We've been using them for a few weeks now and they have been used on a daily basis and put in the dishwasher on a daily basis.

Firstly, I love the glaze on these plates. They haven't scratched from utensils and are easy to clean. I was worried the dimples might be annoying, but honestly, I don't even notice them when I'm eating.

The side plates are a generous 21cms.

I really wanted large shallow pasta style bowls and these ones are perfect.

They are a great size at 18cms, and I love that their shape adds a rustic charm to each meal.

And the dinner plates are just as pretty and a great size as well at 27cms.

Another thing I like about this dinnerware is that it is not too heavy like some stoneware can be.  They are also dishwasher and microwave safe which is a big plus.

I love that both the dinner plates and side plates have only slightly raised sides. Some of my other plates have quiet high sides and they are really difficult to stack next to each other in the dishwasher.

This dinner set is so pretty and the quality is amazing. I did look at the matching coffee cups but they were huge! Good sometimes to see these things in person, cause they looked smaller online.

So, how much did I pay? Well, I got these sets at Peters of Kensington for $69 each. Their full price is normally $130, so I was pretty happy.  And because they are a neutral colour, they will match in with other neutrals and whites which is totally my style.  (FYI - This set also comes in a variety of other colours.)

I'd definitely recommend purchasing from the Ecology range. You can find them online here.

Now to start planning my Easter table setting with my new plates! 😊
