Little Shabby Green Writing Desk
Before ...
And after ...
I simply sanded and then applied a few coats of vintage green chalk paint.
Then a little bit of distressing.
And a matching shabby distressed chair.
And this little desk has a lot more personality. :)

Julie,
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I love the new color. So much brighter. It now says hey sit down and write a nice card or note! Great job.
Kris :)
Thanks Kris. I've almost forgotten how to write a note or card. Thanks for reminding me. Now it's coming up to Christmas I'll have to post out some nice cards, written at my nice new desk. ;)
DeleteIt's adorable! great job. Regards, Pascale
ReplyDeleteThanks Pascale! Now I just have to find time to sit down and use it. :) Oh well, I can still admire it as I rush past with the vacuum!
DeleteThat desk has tons more personality--you did a great job! That green is really pretty :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy! I'm hoping no one asks the name of the green I used cause I mixed it myself ages ago! :)
DeleteI did the same thing this evening, adding bits of blue, and yellow. I could never duplicate the color!
DeleteI just love this! I have the exact same style desk that I paid $3 for years ago. I painted mine a creamy white but I love yours! I use mine as a night stand next to my bed. Lovely work!
